I was playing with some bookings on Scoot for August and as part of a SYD - SIN return the flight back was going to be $202 AUD

As a little test I did a 1/way Sin - SYD and the price was $190 SGD, which works out to be around $145 AUD

That's nearly a 40% markup

Just another example of the land down under being ripped off by the airlines.

At the $88 launch sale, I find that it was $88 SGD for SIN-SYD, and $88 AUD for SYD-SIN. It appeared to me that both of these applied no matter how it was booked or where the trip originated from.

also pretty amazing value for their 'business class'. About AUD700 return. that shaves a massive chunk off Jetstar. Will be interesting to see how the two of them compare.

Too right. I didn't realise they had a PE equiv product. Just thought the Biz fare included everything.

With 15KG carry on it could be just enough to avoid the dreaded wait for baggage at the other end.

Would def consider for the flight back to sydney

Yes aggressive pricing for their "Scootbiz" product. Looks like they have JQ squarely in their sights, even the way they have packaged the offerings is similar to the way the JQ does it. The PE seat they are using looks "ok" I would say very good value for the price. May well give them a whirl..

Cheers

Also as a warning,
Despite being listed as an A$ charge,

the Billing entity is in Singapore.

Hence you will get hit with an Overseas Transaction Charge on a lot of cards (eg. Qantas Woolworths card)
