Scoot to start SIN-SYD in mid-2012

Flights likely to commence from mid-2012 and CEO thinks 40% lower fares than legacy airlines.

Now, given QF has regular sales ex-SIN in the range of SGD$900 (~aud$700), which is very good value if one is a WP earning more than 15,000 ffp return, Scoot has to be considerably cheaper for me to be tempted .... and yes, I am frequently tempted by JQ so I have no hesitation booking budget carriers.

Competition should drive QF (and maybe SQ) pricedown on Syd-Sin route:D

Perhaps SIA will reduce reward seats to encourage use of Scoot or will Kris Flyers migrate to Scoot and leave more award seats on SIA ?

Like SIA need a reason to continue to reduce award availability ;)

Compared to ( Insert any other Airline ) I find them pretty good - particularly if you ring and are very nice to the operator !
I wonder if "premium" class on Scoot will allow lounge access etc ? Probably get what you pay for !
