Hi All,

I'm flying SYD-LAX (Business, A380) later this year and have gotten around to looking at seat allocations. I want either an E or F seat (middle aisle) as I prefer aisle and don't want the person sitting beside me to climb over me to get out during the flight.

I am thinking that 22E looks like a good seat (up the back of the main part of the Business class cabin on the A380) but am a bit concerned about the following:

  1. There's an exit row behind the seats and SeatGuru comments that people often pass between sides of the plane using that space. Could there be increased noise or passenger/crew traffic in the area of this seat?
  2. Could the exit make the seat colder and nosier?
Thanks for any feedback!

I can't comment on that row specifically, but my personal recommendation is row 12 in the front mini cabin, if it's available. Definitely quieter up there as there are only 18 seats and much less traffic. 12E would be my pick as it's on the opposite aisle to the lounge area.

Thanks for your reply. I just checked seat allocations and unfortunately everything in front of row 20 is blocked out, so really it's going to be 20, 21, 22 (or the back mini cabin, which I am not really keen on). Any additional thoughts on which is the best row?

An E (or F) seat for a solo traveller is better than the A/B/J/K seats as no-one has to climb over/past another to access the aisle.

For nearer the front action, recheck on a regular basis and specifically 7 days before the flight.
