Is anyone else having the same problem? When I check the seat map of my CBR-MEL flight this Friday, it's showing that almost all the seats on the plane as being blocked. I've double checked and my QFF is saved in my account.

What flight is it?

What are the fare bucket loadings/availability?

Hey Anchew

I'm on QF 821 on tomorrow (17/12).
Expertflyer is showing this:

While QF seat selection shows this:

It's ok in this case as I managed to get 4A on the 738 :D
However, the return flight has the same problem which means seat alert won't work. So it's back to the old days before I joined Expertflyer - checking seat selection frequently.

BTW - I sent Expertflyer a message regarding this and got the following reply:

Thank you for your email. It would help to know the flight number, but
there isn't an issue with the service. If QF is returning all seats blocked,
then that's that QF's returning. Did you call them to ask what the assigned
seating situation was? Maybe since it's close to the day of the flight they
don't want anyone to assign any more seats. Either way we're just showing
what the airline returns to us.

Thank you,

Hi All

Just beginning to use EF and your insights would be appreciated into the following:

On the QF 'Manage My Booking/Select Seats' page, there are still some seats I can't access within the T-80 window. As I understand it, these may be exit row seats, for bassinets or reserved for CL.

Comparing the EF & QF seat map for this flight (QF485 MEL - PER 03/02), there are non-exit/bassinet seats showing as available on EF (24 - 25 A/J/K and 26 - 27 F/G), that are not available on the QF map.

Are the blockages in 24-25 A/B the 'WP shadow'. If that's the case, any reason there isn't one next to me in 26 A/B?

How could 24-26 J/K be explained?

Any assistance as to whether this EF vs QF 'mismap' is usual, would be appreciated.

NB: Status WP as per profile and QFF number entered into EF

Thanks in advance

We took a look at the data, using your QFF number, and we found we were not showing the blocked exit row 23/44 seats correctly as blocked and that will be fixed shortly. However all of the other seats in question in rows 24-27 are being returned to us as Available with no other restrictions/qualifications/attributes that would indicate otherwise. So if they are blocked, they unfortunately aren't making it known.
