Yep, first time I flew on a 787 when I got to the economy row and it started in the 40s I had to do a double take.
Same thing happened recently on an EK A380 on the bottom floor. I knew I was at the back, but again the seat numbering started in the 40s.
Better that people are checking as they go instead of just assumed that 50B is down the back and then having to fight against the traffic to make it back to the front.
