Seat selection and Classic awards

Is there some limitation on seat selection on classic booking? I have a classic award booking and I was happily doing seat selection last week as a gold. Now this week it is ineligible for seat selection. The only thing that has changed in my status as of last night. But I was going to mention that later in more detail.

Before I ring qantas I just wanted to check there wasn't some limitation in place.

Just called qantas. They didn't really mention a reason why I can't select seats for the booking, domestic classic award. They just did the seat selection manually. Looks like a one of glitch

This might be a wasted thread, might be best to delete it, if the Mods wish.

Looks like a systematic problem. J Classic Award - Select seats gives the following:

Your flight is not eligible for seat selection however you can nominate aisle or window seat preference.

There shouldn't be a restriction (that I know of)... Just *yet another* QF IT glitch I assume.

That would be it then, I have a mixed Y, J classic award. I was able to select seats earlier this week. But then got that same seat selction not eligible message after I made platinum on Thursday night. I assumed it was a status change glitch. Looks like a general IT thing.

The guy on the phone didn't see a problem, but the solution offered was to select seats for me. helpful but also doesn't address the problem.

Oh well, time to submit feedback.

Last week I could select seat but only 18A and back. Today tried to get more forward and it said I could not do seat selection.

Possible computer glitch.
