Seat selection on QANTAS site for BA flight

I am flying in Y on BA905 next week, I booked through the QANTAS site and under seat selection I have been allocated 10F on an Airbus A319. When I try to adjust my selection I am told that seat selection is unavailable for this flight, is there any reason this would be the case? I am rather keen to select Exit Windows 9A, 9F or Bulkhead 7A or 7F. There doesn't appear to be a 7B so 7A would be ideal.

Same problem for my connecting flight BA187 to JFK. Wont even bring up a seat map beyond telling me it's a Boeing 767 and allowing me to select Window or Aisle preference.

Here is the seat map showing there is no 7B but I can't lock in 7A.

Just phoned BA and rows 7-9 on BA509 were blocked out on the call centre end as well. Will try online later or at the airport.
On BA187 (Boeing 767 from London to Newark) I managed to get 18K, apparently the furthest forward window available, not to worried about this one.
On BA559 (Airbus A321 from Rome to London) I managed to get 22F (There is no seat 21F) however this was also blocked on my end online. I really wanted 4A (There is no 4B) but this was blocked for the call centre as well.

Did you try going to ba.com and "Manage My Booking"? USe the same booking ref as QANTAS.

I always do my BA seat requests on the BA website as sometimes I get weird errors or seats that don't work on the QF site

Yes we have an up coming flight on BA and I just went to their site and put in booking reference, no problems.

Just got to the JAL lounge at FRA T2 and was given 8A for BA905 FRA-LHR, lucky I noticed the change of plane to an A319 which would give 8A a flat back and no recline! Brought it to the attention of the dragon at the lounge who promptly put me in to 9A. Exit row!

Still stuck in 18K for BA187 LHR-EWR however I will try and move forward at the BA lounge at LHR.
