I'm booked on QF31 in J on 16th June, and QF32 also in J on 27th June. Have a question about seat selection that is baffling me a little.
In Qantas.com.au seat selection, the closest seat to the front I can select is 19F on QF31, and 20F on QF32.
What's strange is that now that I have put my QFF # in ExpertFlyer (SG status) it says I should be able to select 16A or 16B on QF31, and 16A or 17D or 17F on QF32.
Is this possibly because my QFF status was PS when the flights were booked? Any ideas would be most appreciated!
As a side question, I'm thinking row 16 is the best place to be for an SG who can't select rows 11/12/13. Am I right in thinking this? I would rather a window seat but don't like the idea of having to climb over someone to get out - does row 16 overcome this problem?
Also any ideas on chances of upgrade to F on either leg? I'm not seeing any international QF award buckets coming up on ExpertFlyer but from Googling around it sounds like this might be because EF doesn't show QF award buckets any more?
