Hi All

Coming up to my anniversary on my Qantas Amex Ultimate. Signed up on a good promo ($200 off annual fee + 50k points), so along with the free return QF flight (ex PER), I deemed it worthwhile.

However I'm hoping to have the annual fee reduced around anniversary time, or else I'll close the card. As this seems to be a semi-common occurrence, I'm interested as to what (if any) special arguments or phrases you may have used to have annual fees reduced or comped in the past?

Can't add anything useful to actually answer your question. However, also living in Perth, I find that the annual free flight more than covers the fee of this card (assuming you actually make use of the flight).
