So we've booked a Ponant cruise in 2020 - Cape Town - Durban then Durban - Seychelles arriving April 9. Our plan is to spend time in the Seychelles then fly to Mauritius and spend time there before heading home. We have a few questions and if anyone can offer further advice it would be most welcome.
- How long to stay in each location - 7-10 days each is our high level planning assumption - perhaps in more than one location (e.g. Mahe and Praslin in the Seychelles / not sure about Mauritius).
- What general location in each keeping in mind the time of year (April)
- Recommended resorts (5* but not too OTT price-wise - which could be an issue in both places given the high prices).
- Has any one done holiday apartments in either location - it would be nice to have a break from dining out after 4+ weeks on a cruise ship - but my initial searches in Mahe didn't really inspire me unless you're looking in the $5000+ per night range - our target is more in the $1000 - $1500 pn (hotel or apartment/villa).
Thanks in advance.
