Hi all, on a QF from PVG to SYD tomorrow (SAT evening) and wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of the available lounges at PVR

FWIW, I am travelling J and OWE

I think I was in the Cathay lounge last time, which wasn’t very good, but was better than being outside it. Quite small from what I remember, and busy, but nothing like the busyness I see at the QP!

I think you mean PVG anyway ;)

Assuming you do mean PVG, the lounges there are much of a muchness. The so-called "First Class" OW lounge is about the best of an average bunch. Food is limited to the usual sandwiches, a pan of fried rice and some steamed buns.
The best part is in the toilets - the toilet seats are heated. So if nothing else you can leave the lounge with a warm a***!

Oddly enough, they had wines and beers, however one lone bottle of Jack Daniels and no other spirirts... thought it was a little odd.

Food is poor. Sandwhiches are the standard chinese "attempt" which isn't very good. Just before the QF flight they bring out the "Australian" food which has always been a beef stew when I've been there. It's ok... just pick out the beef.

View is nice though. It sits above the main area so you can stand up and watches the masses and the runway, plus you can see when boarding starts

DragonAir lounge was decent for brekky when I was there a few months ago...or is that the same OW lounge we're talking about?

Cheers,
- Febs.

That’s the one I’ve been too. See here for very little information. Doesn’t seem like OWS/OWE can access it though. :-| But J/F can.

DragonAir are a OW affiliate (but not a full member), so OWE/OWS should still be able to I'd think?

I certainly was able to as an OWE travelling in Y (PVG-HKG on DragonAir).

Cheers,
- Febs.
