It's just another way Velocity rewards you faster.

Velocity - You can now transfer Points to family members

Let's hope Qantas follows suit by allowing 4 transfers (or more) per year.

Good news. In theory one can transfer up to 400,000 points per year.

Well at the rate I am earning points it will take me 20 years to get to that amount;)
Not if you switch all your domestic flying to Virgin Blue and your international flying to V Australia. ;)

Maybe I should transfer my points to a family member... at the moment I'm an illegitimate Velocity member - living overseas, but pretending I'm actually in Australia. One of my relatives may find a use for my points.

Still, once again DJ lead the market. Watch Qantas wiggle, think, wiggle then allow family transfers 4 times per year up to 100,000 points each time...

This is the reason why I moved to QFF and now they introduce family transfers!!

Oh well happy with QFF so far.
