Elo, Elo! I would like to share my joy! In less then 2 weeks, I will be flying to Europe for my annual visit home, The difference this year is that I was able to amass enough FFP and so I will be flying in F all the way there and back. And I would like You, the well travelled members of this group to give me any tips, and secrets, as to get the most of this first time experience. From Sydney I will be flying with BA to London, and then to Prague, and then few weeks later, from Prague to Amsterdam and after few days from there to HKG with Cathay Pacific, and after few days there back to Sydney with Qantas. Also in Amsterdam Im staying in Sofitel Hotel, the Grand, and in HKG in Novotel Hong Kong Century, so if anybody have an experience with these two hotels, Please let me know.My only question at this time is:" How early could I check in at Sydney,BA Desk? As would like to fully enjoy the Qantas First lounge. Thank you for all your help in advance. Maxik

I would ring Qantas and ask but being F I would suspect you can check in as early as you want, and prebook a spa treatment!

My understanding is that if you are flying on a BA you'll need to check in at a BA desk. I think they open three and half hours before the flight. It might be 4 hours these days.

... to give me any tips, and secrets, as to get the most of this first time experience.

my tip is to find a place you like and investigate how to migrate there - Economic refugees flee Sydney for NYC (unless you're a flouro-jacketed worker of course).

sounds like you're staying at quite a few nice hotels - check out the various "free" gold status memberships (eg Le Club Accor, Starwood (with Mastercard World) and Hilton Honours) you can get to maximise benefits and points. Australian Business Traveller - Unbiased business travel news, reviews and advice. Your essential resource for flights, airports, hotels and frequent flyer rewards gave a few tips on these - its just a case of seeing whether the offers are still available or have expired. Oh, and in case you haven't got one already - 28 degrees mastercard for lowest FX rates and no surcharges.
