Shell shocked

Guys I do not know about you but I'm really shell shocked at what has just happened. It is like a new DJ PR dept is now in charge and being open with changes that are negative to those of us who are real FFers is not what they do. If this is the start of their Velocity program "revamp" (DJ speak for QF "Enhancements"), heaven help us to learn the truth cause DJ apparently will not reveal any negative changes.

As others have said at least with QF you know the nature of the beast and we have gotten use to the Devil we know. Come on QF let us know the WP1 details so we can make clear choices with our flight money spend.

I am not sure there is any reason to be shocked, whats happened:

1, A new SC earn scheme that is easier than the one that it replaces, yes its had some issues with implementation/interpretation of the rules but the communication has been flowing about these even with the odd flight disruption due to ash.
2, Lounge changes including an increase in fees and removal of the lounges from Priority Pass. IMHO this has been a long time coming, when the lounge was setup it was important to get people in, now that its a mature and in some cases new product, the value offering is much closer to its competition than previously, and of course membership is able to be used in an increasing amount of locations which improve the value!

New lounges, new business class, new priority queues, and reps that are active on AFF, now that is something to be shocked about, its called competition and about time!
