I was in Hong Kong last Sept and applied for a Visa at Lo Wu Border crossing. Took 20 minutes.

One of my staff is heading to Hong Kong next week and told me that Visas were no longer being offered at the border. I have searched the web but can find no reference to any change.

I know that UK and US residents could not use this service and wondering if AUST residents have made the list.

My staff member said the change happened very recently.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanx all in advance.

Not a whole lot of help, but can confirm that they were still issuing them at the end of November, so advance your experience a couple of months, but don't know about now.

No word of any change in Hong Kong press since December when I came over.

I would post the question on geoexpat.com to see anyone has done the crossing recently - when I looked this up last not only could you get the 5 day SEZ visas but you could also obtain China Visas from China Travel Services on the spot at Lo Wu.
