We checked in here last Friday for a weeks stay.Didn't expect much reading reviews on Trip advisor and suspected it would be full. However we felt wecomed from the moment the doorman opened the taxi door.Escorted to checkin and immediately another escort provided to take us up to the exec lounge for checkin. Our package was waiting and we had been upgraded to a suite.Unfortunately it appears photo sharing sites are not accessible here so no pics yet.
Our package includes Expo tickets and breakfast so we have had the choice of lounge or restaurant breakfast-the exec floor benefits list says brekkie only in lounge. The lounge breakfast is only slightly less than downstairs. There is an egg cook to do omelettes or fried eggs and a reasonable selection of other hot items.
On our second night night there the staff remembered our names and what we had to drink.Though I am referred to as rondr-ron is not the form of my name on my SPG card or CCs.Do they read AFF?There is only 1 white/red wine available but reasonable-Australian-Wolf blass. The selection of snacks has not varied but includes wedges, spring rolls, pizza bits, dim sum, chesses, fruits, veggies and dips, sandwhiches etc. There is a computer in the lounge and of course Sheraton Link off the lobby. We though have free internet in room.
There is a subway station(line 4)right outside the front door.Local shops next door and even Walmart a km away.Taxis remain cheap and certainly plentiful with expo.
Have had dinner twice now at the China Court restaurant and have enjoyed it.Certainly much better than the Chinese restaurant at the St. regis. At present a special on Peking duck-138Y($A25)-for the whole bird.
The stay was picked on price but has turned out to be great value.
