Called QFF last night and got the SA call centre, the lady was lovely and very helpful which was much different to the call I had in the daytime the day earlier - but that isn't why I posted this thread.

The e-ticket is yet to come through, but all changes are showing on both QF & EK 'manage my booking'. Should I chase the e-ticket up asap this morning?

Assuming you're not flying in the coming days - I'd wait until a weekday to call.

I was concerned about an e-ticket delay last week. Tried calling and online chat - both were hopeless. Finally sent a frustrated SMS, and the ticket was manually issued straight away.
SMS: 0477 QANTAS and include your full name, passengers and flight details.

Exact same situation but a significant Oneworld booking which required APIS information due to US destinations. Worried about losing seats - at what point should I request it? Been 12hrs so far.

Tried using the chat & sms features the other day, both were painful. But that was trying to change flights & I guess this is a little different, so will give it another crack.

Exactly the same situation as me excel, sans OWE booking as mine is just to/from US with QF/EK - already entered the APIS on previous ticket and it is still there when I log in to both QF/EK aps along with the new flights.

I've waited a week for the actual e-ticket after doing changes. Since i wasn't flying for 3-4 weeks and was showing in MMB I wasn't worried.

3pm arrived in the inbox. I didn't realise but reading the QF site it days that an e=-ticket should be issued within 24hrs, the only reason I wondering about the follow-up was the lady on the phone last night said 'should be issued within the next 60-90 mins".

Can I get on AA MMB with the QF e-ticket reference?

My understanding is that this is not an auto-generated procedure, but placed in a queue and manually processed in order of departure date. May take days, or longer.

Just to close this out, my eticket (though it lacked any eticket number) arrived almost 24 hours to the minute after recieving the request for APIS.

I had to make a change this evening to a booking I made using a GV. As is usual the desired flight wasn't available on the GV booking site so I booked the next preferred flight and then rang QF. Using the WP line it was answered within a minute and lady could see what I was talking about and made the change immediately. She even asked about seat selection and selected my preferred seat.

The updated ticket was emailed within 10 minutes, a record for me and the flight isn't even until 02 Sept.
