Should Qantas dump John Travolta?

Everyone in Hollywood knows that John has been like this for years, it's only taken now a few people to actually put their face to a story..His publicists have done a brilliant job for keeping these pics and other stuff out of the press for as long as they have.
Personally I'm not fussed....I don't particularly associate him with Qantas anyway, though the US do...I would think, given how well like he is there, that it's only a positive for Qantas as keeps their name associated with his...bizarre stories or not!

There are many things Qantas should dump
- John Travolta
- Angled Skybeds on the A330s in Asia when your competitors such as CX are upgrading their product and are often cheaper.
- The decision to give JQ the 787 first
- The 767 operating to Hawaii
- The lack of apertif service before dinner on "Supper" flights
- Alan Joyce

need I continue?

Hmm has anyone actually seen these photos, rather than just allegations from the tabloid trash.
In short, NOTHING HAS BEEN PROVEN.

Indeed. "The SUN" is not a quality newspaper by any stretch of the imagination.

Rumours about JT have been around for years. I presume they are true - but I don't really care. Celebs face unfounded complaints and lawsuits all the time. These recent cases are just another example.

I don't see any reason why Qantas should drop him as a celebrity.

Between the allegations in the Sun, and the National Enquirer..I don't know which is more trashy.
Rumours will always be around about any celebrity, no evidence other than here say, so no reason to drop him as the face of QF.

IMO I think either way he is a great ambassador for the brand and don't think there is any reason to drop him.:)

Qantas has many "ambassadors", and personally I think JT fills a role in terms of attracting Americans etc.

QF should have more non-Australian ambassadors. Otherwise, like that idiotic tourist campaign of Richie Benaud going "marvellous" at everything, its totally pointless to people not from Australia.

QF should be targeting celebrities to get them into new markets. Celebrities from China, Brazil etc. Ones that we may not know here, but the people with money know there.

The absent aperitif is a particular bugbear of mine ;)

Sheds new light, perhaps, on his liking for Qantas pilots.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I say keep him. Good for the USA market.

Besides, how many 'ambassadors' can say that they have a sponsor's product that is a whole plane (whilst I know QF didn't buy it for him I do believe that they perform some maintenance as conta and its an amazing flying billboard)?

Its very unique!

I have not seen too much of him by Qantas recently, so is there a problem??

I would suspect most of the activity is US based, and of course it was not long ago he suffered a terrible tragedy with the death of his son in 2009 followed by a new addition in 2010 .

Oh.... John Travolta :)

His name has been thrown around the gay scene for years... similar in fashion to "I have a friend of a friend of a friend who hooked up with John Travolta once upon a time".

Not like it really matters for his purpose of mascot for QF (but interesting gossip to talk about over a drink at Arq!)
