The DJ flight is on my itinerary as that's the way it was booked by the corp TA. I was very surprised at being profusely thanked for something that I usually do anyway.
The J Lounge would be great if they could maybe turn down the air-con at the window seats, my fingers are turning blue

Curiosity has got the better of me - why wouldnt you go to the DJ lounge?

Re: The totally off-topic thread

I just had a shower in the SYD Qantas J lounge and consider them pretty small & coughpy also.

The differently abled one in SUD Dom J is quite spacious.

Showers, the one in the DJ Lounge is small and coughpy. Also had a 3 hour layover and wanted to try to stay awake

I have always considered the QF domestic J lounge showers pretty coughpy too. Never really took much notice of the DJ ones.

They are both a bit coughpy but the DJ one in BNE is more coughpy. It's the size of a shoebox, there's one of them ( unless you count the disabled toilet and I don't ). I'm not particularly large or claustrophobic but people who are couldn't ever fit in there ;)

Can't speak for the shower in the female bathroom in the DJ BNE lounge (for obvious reasons), but it seems like a similar situation to the male bathroom - just a small room with a bench, a hamper and a small shower.

I like the QF J BNE lounge showers better only because they include all the necessary amenities in one shower room, i.e. vanity, toilet and shower. Also allows you plenty of room to get dressed etc. The disadvantage of these showers are that they are just as small as the DJ ones, inferior shower head (IIRC still using the sparse water saving one - nothing wrong with water saving, but make it a dense spray head!) and Kimberley Clark rather than something more satisfactory. Now the ones in the QP are notably smaller and a worse shower head (unless they've been replaced). Also, in the QF BNE J lounge there are only 2 shower rooms, and one of them is a disabled/baby change one (so effectively only 1 "regular" shower room).

Not thinking about the disabled bathrooms of either here, but in saying that the DJ one is huge (could probably make two bathrooms from it).

In SYD, DJ has the edge with their shower rooms, but purely because they are bigger (and Grown beats Kimberley Clark), that's it.

I don't know anything about building regulations for Lounge bathrooms (if indeed there are any) but that cupboard / AKA shower room in the DJ lounge is the smallest I've ever seen.

I had a smaller one in the CA F Lounge in PEK T3. It's like the area of two aircraft toilets put together. One half is the shower, the other half is the vanity sink and remaining standing area. No toilet - no room for one! And no where to sit, either.
