SIA credited points to Krisflyer when I requested them to be credited to Velocity

Hey guys,

I recently came back to Perth, flying Y on SIA from LHR to PER via SIN. I booked the flight before Virgin and Singapore brought in the points agreement, so I originally had my Krisflyer number associated with the booking.

I called up to change the number on the booking to my Velocity one, which I was told was no problem. On checkin I double checked to see that the KF number had been taken off and the Velocity number added. The checkin and gate agents both confirmed this with me.

The problem I am having is that only the LHR-SIN sector was credited to my Virgin account, the SIN-PER was, for some reason, credited to my Krisflyer account. I've talked to SIA about this, and they're checking in to it for me, so I guess this is all I can do so far.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do if they come back and say no?

Cheers guys :)

It sounds like your booking was updated, but only the LHR-SIN sector, obviously not the SIN-PER sector. I have credited different sectors to different accounts before so I guess this is possible, especially given that you had already commenced the journey. I think the fact that LHR-SIN credited correctly is your best argument.

Thanks for the advice, guys.

At the moment, I can see on my online statement, that SIA has taken the points from my KF account, so I am hoping that they get credited to my Velocity account some time soon.
