Hi All, I'm considering flying Sichuan Airlines (3U) in J class SYD to CAI via TFU. 3U seems to have a chinese only website and nothing about their J class.
I'd like to know if they are layflat (horizontal) or more like a Scoot/Air Asia product.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

I'm flying MEL-TFU and TFU-CAI this Easter.

I flew J class from SYD-TFU. I believe the beds were angled (not an issue for me) and 2-2-2 layout so window passengers don't have direct aisle access. There is no choice of meal - you get a set of tapas, for me not all the items were edible. The service was excellent, but I wonder if it was because I'm Chinese. It still beats any Y or Y+ from any airline.

Chengdu is a great city.

"not all the items were edible"? What were they serving? ;) I remember flying between SHA-PEK in 1986 on CAAC and we were given salted peach seeds ... and to this day I have no idea what that was about.

Sichuanese food is very spicy and there are also a lot of things (such as pickled cabbage) that my taste buds simply cannot tolerate. But regarding the portion that was edible (about 75%), the quality was very good (well above acceptable for business class). And they are served on proper china and metal cutlery.
