Hi All, I'm considering flying Sichuan Airlines (3U) in J class SYD to CAI via TFU. 3U seems to have a chinese only website and nothing about their J class.
I'd like to know if they are layflat (horizontal) or more like a Scoot/Air Asia product.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

I'm flying MEL-TFU and TFU-CAI this Easter.

I flew J class from SYD-TFU. I believe the beds were angled (not an issue for me) and 2-2-2 layout so window passengers don't have direct aisle access. There is no choice of meal - you get a set of tapas, for me not all the items were edible. The service was excellent, but I wonder if it was because I'm Chinese. It still beats any Y or Y+ from any airline.

Chengdu is a great city.

"not all the items were edible"? What were they serving? ;) I remember flying between SHA-PEK in 1986 on CAAC and we were given salted peach seeds ... and to this day I have no idea what that was about.

Sichuanese food is very spicy and there are also a lot of things (such as pickled cabbage) that my taste buds simply cannot tolerate. But regarding the portion that was edible (about 75%), the quality was very good (well above acceptable for business class). And they are served on proper china and metal cutlery.

Are you going on a tour of Egypt or travelling independently? What is the probability in Cairo of getting stabbed?

So I've just booked Sichuan to Cairo ;) and you say ....
"Are you going on a tour of Egypt or travelling independently? What is the probability in Cairo of getting stabbed?"
What the????
I'm going to dive out of Hurghada but am spending 3 nights in Cairo ...... what are you recommending? ;)

What is the probability in Cairo of getting stabbed?
Strange question. IME it's virtually nil (if you're acting like a reasonable human being), and I've also been to Alexandria and Hurgharda.

What's the probability of being stabbed in London? Just read the UK newspapers. What's the probability of being stabbed in NY?

Strange question indeed.

I did not think it was an inappropriate question as in some surveys, Cairo has a worse safety index score than Johannesburg, South Africa.
