Silver status reservation - Hilton booking

Hi all,

Some advice please.
I got the free silver status Hilton honor a month or so back.

I am off to NYC in December 8[SUP]th[/SUP] , I require 6 nights accommodation.

Part of the Silver member status – you stay for 5 nights and pay for 4 nights.

How do I do this most economically?
And also how to I also take advantage of the 4x points promotion that is on at the moment? More stays, more points promotion I think it is called.

Any advice on how I go about this would be extremely grateful.

It's often not too difficult to get HHonors Gold status immediately or for very little output. Search AFF and check out this link.

As for the stay 5, pay 4 perk, I've never found it to be particularly useful. I don't think there's any particular art to it; you simply enter your dates at hilton.com and hope you get a decent deal.
