Having grown fed up with the online CR calculator, I decided to make my own offline version of it.

Just change the inputs in columns B to E for your particular flights.

A couple of notes on the routes table:
  • The routes loaded are all routes currently serviced by QF and partner airlines, not just the ones the online calculator lets you enter - someone else may find this list useful
  • The distances are a blend from various sources (including QF), and also some self-calculated which more or less marry up with Great Circle Mapper.
  • There will be a warning if a particular route comes close to the points cost breakpoint, so always check with the QF calculator if unsure.
Hopefully this saves someone else the headache from having to use the Qantas tool.

Well done, it would have been tough diving into the world of "trips" and other facets of classic flight awards.

I've often considered similar for SC/Points earn but "simpler and fairer" ... ain't ...

It's up to the user to enter the "trips" themselves (e.g. SYD-LHR vs SYD-SIN-LHR), and this is a limitation of the spreadsheet, but one I haven't been able to easily resolve as yet and which affects what I think is a small proportion of trips on partner airlines.

I thought this would be a pretty simple exercise but it ended up being more complicated than expected. There is a SC equivalent of this spreadsheet which has been covered on AFF before and can't be shared publicly due to "simpler and fairer". Hopefully the routes I've shared help those who want to calculate their SCs.
