Ok, so your all wondering why i would write anything about this seemingly boring flight.

Well since SQ009 in his DONE4 was passing through SIN
http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/community/trip-reports/qf009-travels-world-11965.html
It was a chance to meet up with a few of the SQtalkers, and also later Jason in the QF/BA lounge who was doing a long transit in SIN.

Dinner was as a nice place someway from the airport, since i was working close to the airport i choose to check in early and then head for dinner, traffic on the PIE was really busy and after finally makeing it to the resaurant it was good to meet up with a few of the guys and have some food.

Back to the airport and into the lounge, meet with Jason and talk for maybe 20 mins before our flight should have been called, we decided we should head towards the gate and soon after the flight was called.

QF009 was up in J and i was all the way down the back in 67C (not by choice, this was as far forward isle that my QF gold would allow me since i was only ticketed some 8 or 10 hours before the flight and it was almost 100% full, about 4 free seats, no J free)

On to VH-OJU which now has atleast in whY the new fabrics, sitting waiting for pushback we were informed of a delay due to flight slots for our route though controlled airspace, dueing the delay the APU failed and there was a need to run from ground power again atleast until an engine was started or APU functioning again. Take off seemed like about an hour late.

Supper was edible, a choice of Fish or nochi, then i was rescued to go and drink some decent champagne (Piper Heidsieck) in the J bar area. After some time relaxing and drinking it was off to bed, if you can call 67C a bed, but i did sleep much better than expected, comfortable enough.
Also a J blanket given to me when i asked for one since i was feeling a little cool when sleeping.

Breakfast was egg, sausage, something green like spinich, hashbrown and holandias sauce. For a re-heated breakfast was rather nice.

During the night the moving map and flight info reported anything from a 30 minute early arrival to 1.5hrs late, in the end about 55 mins late into LHR, some swerving on landing and a windy and rainy not so cold morning greeted us.
So with my short connection to STR no chance i headed to terminal 1 and the BA flight connection counter.

Through security, no need for notebooks out and no shoes required to be taken off (unless you had boots).

The dragon at the counter line asked for my ticket as i walked past to the premium line and directed to me to the whY line, until i mentioned OW sapphire, seems BA don't print that on boarding passes.

10 quid in meal vouchers (given in case i wanted food etc outside the lounge) and a 2pm flight to STR and i was on my way to the lounge, same as normal expereince, but i think 50-60% of the flights today were all delayed due to late incomming aircraft.

Use my 10 quid to buy a better coffee than in the lounge and a whole lot of dark chocolate (well i may as well use them for something, i will give the choc away or eat it later) and i am still in the lounge waiting for a now delayed BA 920 LHR-STR now scheduled for 15:30.

Now i can only await the wonderful trip report of the same flight in J from SQ009.

Also we both noted the flight crew was London based, all young and some new. They did a good job during the flight and made the expereince as enjoyable as it could be.

For anybody interested, the BA connections desk lady had a straneg look on her face when i showed up and i asked if the reaosn was because of the moving me to the new flight of my strange routing....

She seemed rather interested in my flights even though by the standard of flights here it is rather normal i think :)

For those who were wondering. methinks the alter-ego of SQ009 may be QF009 ... :p

Never mind mistaking me for an alleged alter ego - but Charles Camille Heidsieck will be twisting in his grave when he hears that someone has confused the absolutely delicious concoction Charles Heidsieck Mis En Cave 2001 with Piper Heidsieck....

Will update my TR when I have stable internet access. :)

Maybe i should get more sleep before posting ;)
Just a few errors in there, i see they have been picked up and corrected already.

And yes i did enjoy my sleep, i had about 9 hours and feel well rested and better for it. A day at work almost complete now.
