Hi all,

Velocity Platinum flying Sing Air to Taipei next week. I'm told that I get an extra 15kg baggage allowance with SA, in addition to the 30kg allowed.

My question is, is there a limit on how many pieces of luggage I can check? Hoping to fly back with 3 x 15kg pieces, which matches my 45kg allowance. Willl this be permitted? Can't seem to find a straight answer online

Cheers

Usually when the weight concept applies, there is no cap on pieces. I've seen some airlines define a minimum bag weight to presumably stop people checking like 20 items (although Singapore doesn't seem to do that), but generally I'm sure you'll be fine with 3x 15kg.

No worries - thanks. I'll double check when checking in for my flight from BNE. Will let you know if I hear any different.

Yes won’t be a problem. I regularly check in 3 pieces when travelling from Australia to Singapore.
