Hi All,

We're stopping over in Singapore on the way back from London in December, and we have the option of using the JetQuay terminal service with our hotel transfer. The cost isn't too bad, particularly for a bit of a treat after a long flight (we'll be able to refresh in the lounge while our luggage is collected, & use express clearance). That being said, every time I've been through Terminal 3 lately i'm off the plane and in a cab within 20 minutes anyway, so wondering if it's worth the extra cost.

Has anyone used this service?

Thanks!

Rob

I've not used it myself, but I know that Gary Leff on his View from the wing blog wrote two comprehensive reports on his experience, both arrival and departure, which may be of interest to you.

I've done it twice - once as a transfer, where they just took us to our airport lounge, and once using their lounge on arrival. For the transfer, it was expensive but useful since it was three of us - myself, my wife and very young son plus way too much carry on. Was nice not to have to lug that and the boy all the way across the airport.

When I used their lounge it was quite expensive ($250+tax SGD) though I think it's gone up even more now. That being said, it was an excellent service - you are picked up right at the gate, taken to their lounge where there is a private customs clearance and then you relax with some nice champagne while they sort out luggage and car. If you feel like splurging then I say go for it.

There's another service available apparently - I'm assuming it's a cheaper alternative to get you on your way faster: Affinity Concierge Services - Affinity Membership By SATS I haven't used it but it looks like it might speed things up a bit if you're in a hurry.

Thanks for the tips guys! Single entry into the Affinity lounge looks like a good option.

Cheers,
Rob

Let us know how you go with the Affinity service. Surely a Trip Report is in order...;)

Great idea! I've been reading everyone else's TRs so only fair to do my own!

Trip isn't until December but will try to remember!
