I have a trip coming up on QF005 Sydney to Farnkfurt via Singapore. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are ever problems with having the time for a shower in Singapore. The tim ebetween landing and takeoff seems to be 90 minutes. I will only be travelling economy but will have Qantas Club membership so I guess I will be off the plane after all the business passenegers. I also know there are a lot of other Qantas and BA flights that arrive in Singapore at about the same time (i.e. about 23:00)
Any advice from previous experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I've never had a problem on my layovers on QF31, always plenty of time for a shower and a quick bite in the QP.

QF 31 is fine. It departs at midnight, some forty minutes after the previous flight and the lounge virtually empties out. The four other QF/BA flights all depart between 22:55 and 23:20 making it rather busy. Can't comment on the QP, as my experience is with the FCL, but there - other than the odd 5 minute or so wait, had no problems with getting shower.

If it really is difficult, there's always showers in the paid lounge (IIRC $8 or $9 SGD) or the swimming pool (~ $13 SGD). Not really what you are a QP member for, but these are alternatives.

OT...kinda...Sitting (bored) in the FCL now. Anyone else here? I am waiting for CX712

Never had an issue in the FCL or J when i have left work and headed to the airport bit i arrive a bit before others i think.

I wasnt having an issue, jus no one else there.

I was actually answering from above :)

I realised you were just bored. I noticed last time they added some grilled wraps to the dinner things they bring around instead of just the stirfry and rice.

I'll shuddup and sit in the corner then!

The lady was brining me coffee, coke and grilled tomato, ham and cheese sandwiches. Was very nice

That's new for the F lounge I think... Last time I was in the J lounge they offered me a sandwich, but I refused it. Later on I moved into the F lounge (once it opened) and nothing was offered.

To the OP, you shouldn't have any problem. between me and family we've had a few QF5 flights and have always got the shower. You go to the nice ladies and they give you a buzzer. IME you then have about 10 to 15 minutes to grab a quick drink and something to eat.

OVerall the shower ladies are very efficent. I find the room gets a bit hot after the shower and I usually crack the door once I'm decent, but still with about 5 minutes of stuff to sort. Someone usually appears in about 10 seconds of the door opening to clean up. Also there are quire a few showers available.

You'll be absolutely fine. I had enough time to have a long shower, eating/drinking, checking my emails, and jumping on facebook even :)

That's great. Thank you everyone for your help.
First time user of ffc and will definitely be back.
Thanks again:lol:

The SQ sale fares from Perth are, surprisingly, available over Christmas. Earlier today a return ticket was $680, 24 to 26 December. As SQ flights to Perth operate from T3 and the Qantas Lounge is located in T1, is it possible to move between the terminals with ease or is a boarding pass for that particular terminal needed?

No problems at all. It's a two minute (free) train ride (or if you just miss the train, a 5 minute travellator ride - as they are all under the one roof). In fact a couple of times I've arrived at gates closer to the shops/lounges/immigration points in T1 than the shops/lounges etc in T3 (these are gates B8-10).
