Singapore transit hotel - will this work?

I am travelling with kids HKG-SIN on JQ3K in October. It arrives just after midnight and then we have a JQ flight at 10:30 to Bali the same day. The flights are on a different PNR.

Will we be able to stay at the Ambassador Transit Hotel as we will need to clear immigration to collect our baggage? I am assuming not as we will need to check-in for our flight the next day. If this is the case, any recommendations for SIN airport hotels?

Their website states:
"PLEASE DO NOT CLEAR IMMIGRATION / CUSTOMS AS ALL AMBASSADOR TRANSIT HOTEL ARE SITUATED AT LEVEL 3, WITHIN THE DEPARTURE TRANSIT LOUNGE"

If they through-check your luggage - no problems. (And they do sometimes... but really who knows with Jetstar?) But I can say the Crowne Plaza at Changi (land side but attached to the terminals) is a very good hotel and staying there will work either way for you.

Do not worry about collecting luggage if they do not check luggage through. Stay in the transit hotel and when you are ready to collect bags and check-in for next flight then head down to luggage keeper and collect your bags.

By the way I have done this a number of times while I have had an overnight transit and have not had issues.

The Crowne Plaza is at the airport and a good hotel. We got a room with two double beds which was convenient as we were two adults and two children travelling and we had an overnight connection.

The Crowne Plaza is a very good hotel for the purpose, if you budget stretches that far. Otherwise, the transit hotel as per JohnK's suggestion would work just fine.

The CP can often be had at a reasonable cost using the "Family and friends" rate.

Other than that they know how to handle luggage at SIN as indicated.

I don't think they will check our bags through but that is ok - I don't expect them to. I would normally go for the Crowne Plaza except it will take longer to get to and I assume I will be carrying a sleeping miss 5 year-old. My first preference will be the transit hotel but if that fails, then it will be the CP.
