Single traveller meet up

Have you ever travelled solo before? There are plenty that have. Plenty that enjoy it and plenty that find it a bit lonely.

Was just wondering if there is scope for a dedicated forum for upcoming proposed trips where company is welcome, kind of like the lounge meet ups. Meeting up with a like minded person for your trip is potentially cheaper with shared costs plus you will have someone to share your experiences with. (Not intended as a dating service).

I know there are Apps for this kind of thing, Travello being one, however my experience on that App has been 3 attempts to sell me cryptocurrency and 2 solicitations for intimacy. Zero travel.

What a great idea! I could certainly see myself participating in something like this. The AFF Community would also provide a reasonable chance of finding a like-minded person, whether that was in terms of destinations or of particular interests, such as particular sports events, cultural attractions or, in my case, attending air shows, aviation museums and the like.

Having said that, I don't see myself travelling overseas until the middle of next year, at the earliest. I am planning a lot of domestic travel in the meantime, but this concept is presumably aimed at international travel

I have travelled solo all over the world for more than 40 years and am very happy doing it that way. I am very conscious about my personal safety but never had any problems.
