Skywards - Virgin Blue

Just wondering if anyone knows whether travelling on Virgin Blue will qualify for Skyward miles and qualify for higher tier?

Emirates Slywards FAQ

Tier miles may only be earned on Emirates flights.

Unlike Skywards Miles, which are the programmes reward currency and those used to redeem rewards, tier Miles are collected solely to help members move up the membership tiers. The only time a member earns tier Miles is when they fly with Emirates, at which time they earn 1 tier Mile for each mile they fly in Economy Class, 1.5 tier Miles for flying in Business Class and 2 tier Miles for flying in First Class.
