Hi all
Been on AFF since 2004 & just made PS (& also the day before Anniversary date :D). MrsB has too.
Now the pressure is on, planning the next year already.
It might only be silver, but the bag tags will be carried with pride by this (tourist)) traveller. Access to seat allocation - no more row 52.
Thanks for all the interesting and informative discussion & advice over the years.

Well done, congratulations. Sometimes the journey (& planning) can be exciting as well..
Hope the planning is for platinum:D

I guess the lowering of Silver qualification requirements has helped then. Next year (or this year) should be even easier to achieve. :)

well done blu and Mrs blu.

keep a look out for the monthly lounge meet threads, and post your travel dates, and maybe someone out here is travelling on the same day and can guest you into the F Lounges ;)

Congrats! I'm more or less in the same boat. Had my bronze membership for I don't know how long, but only really started flying a bit more last year. Tomorrow's flight will finally take me to PS, 2 weeks before my anniversary date.

Re-qual is much simpler though - it would done in only another 1.5 month's time. Actually, it would take me exactly half way to gold, and has 10.5 months left to decide if that's what I want. Although now that I'm based in SIN, there aren't that many non-stop OW destinations to make use of the status.

thanks, currently trying to work out a possible LHR JASA/Y+ itinerary. I would not have know anything about that, and it's advantages, without the AFF discussions.

Welcome to the PS club, we've been expecting you.

The worst thing is that I finally reached QPPS this year after meticulous planning, and only after I'd booked and paid for my flights did they lower the qualification bar by 50 SCs - not happy Jan!

Could have skimped on some sectors or taking a more direct routing avoiding a nightmare in SYD (albeit that nightmare scored me a double upgrade).
