Small cars bigger than economy seats

That 15 hours in a fiesta probably equals about 1.5 hours of flying time.
I know which one I would prefer.

Well, I dont think they take into account that you can actually lay your seat down in an air plane. And they serve wine, that helps :D

I have sat in the back seat of small cars. No legroom at all. Very uncomfortable.

I'm a short person so any passengers behind me are travelling in premium economy.
I was in 24G bulkhead on A332 last night. Not reclined. The tiny person behind me fully reclined entire flight. The person behind them look squashed.

Don't need to hear any justifications as they are wasted on me.

I meant in a car lol.

On an aircraft, if the person in front reclines, you can recline to make up for that fact. You do not have the same luxury in the back seat of a car do you?

I guess it depends on your car, my current and indeed my previous vehicles had reclining rear sears, but they are biggish SUVs. When I was out of school my "Laser S" two door had reclining rear seats, but about 1986 or so. (yes I know what you're thinking)

The seats themselves in small cars may well be bigger, but in small cars, and even big cars, how far underneath the seat in front can you put your feet? Maybe if you take your shoes off you can put your toes under .. but on airlines you have plenty of room to put your feet. And if you are sitting behind the driver, and have someone of medium-tall height driving, they need to put their seat back to drive safely, which cuts into the available space. No arguments, its a necessity and it not just the top of the seat reclining on a plane, it's the whole seat.

Indeed. Different set of constraints. If I installed seats in my car in herringbone pattern this may upset the regulatory people.

Cheers skip

I make it a point never to sit in the back seat of any car I get into.

Generally speaking if I am going to be in a car I am going to be the one driving it.

I prefer not to ride shotgun in any car/minibus/bus in Thailand. I would rather not see what's going on especially when the driver of the mininbus is doing 120 km/h and sitting on the bumper bar of the car in front.
