Sitting the the SYD domestic business lounge and finally have proof for the shrinking glass sizes. Perhaps this should be in the penny pinching thread but it is vastly too important a topic to be lost like that. Draught beer glass on the left.

So glad qantas removed MASA so they didn't have to screw the customers further.

And the cost per ml ? ... order a Stella Artios for a standard size drink or when you fly VA next ask for a Scotch & Dry before the flight ....

down it in 1 then hand it back for a refill? ;)

I usually have to drive at the other end. I save the scotch for when I get home. ;)

The white rabbit dark ale was rather good however.

Seriously! Glass size is a problem?
Am I missing something here?

It is a problem when they pour a beer from the bottle and the contents do not fit in the glass.

Wonder what happens to the contents left in the bottle :) Such a waste :)

The real question is what sized glasses are used in the Virgin lounge?

Not sure I used the word problem. It's just an observation. But it is interesting that asking for a beer that's on tap gets a smaller glass. So small they don't hold a full stubbie.

I also recall raising this with qantas social media to be told the glasses haven't changed. It's a relief to find I wasn't imagining things.

Easy solution to all of this - drink out of the bottle.

Indeed. Of course, if I could bother searching, the thread/posts on the refinement of the qantas business lounge because they only serve beer in glasses might be an interesting comparison.

I'm struggling to decipher what you mean by this post, however if you are attempting to suggest that the lounge service staff will only serve beer in glasses then I call BS on that. I've NEVER had an issue asking for the bottle rather than a glass.

310ml in the case of the Peroni glasses. I don't like the change in glassware in the QF Business lounges at all, the wine glasses are a shocker (although at least in Sydney the Epiqure machine can be a good source of suitable glassware).
