Which cruise/vessel?Ile Royale
Not to make light of the poor gentleman's health, but "evacuated by helicopter" sounds so, intrusive. There was quite a swell today. The mobile “office” was going great distances up and down as well as crashing into the boarding platform. On returning to the ship, a window was broken by the hard rubber bumper of the platform.

Most unfortunately, one of the wonderful guest speakers had to be evacuated by helicopter. The paramedic was lowered onto the ship, and later both James and the paramedic were winched back up. I do so hope James recovers from whatever happened. The social hostess will be able to fill the blanks at dinner tonight.

Looks great. How does Regent stack up agains Silversea in your opinion?Never in my life would I have thought I would set foot on Devil’s Isle, nor Ile Royale where we did actually go ashore. It was a warm day, but a nice breeze. Passengers from the cold USA states felt very hot.

Going again! Which boat if you don’t mind me asking? Have you told them (yawn) you’ve already done a landing there?

Love it. Was there a special occasion on board to warrant the 'map'?In case you are wondering where exactly I’m at, @RooFlyer, there is a precise 3D map on the ship.

I thought it was a large cake. My wild imagination dreamt that there would be a weekly cake baked with that week’s nautical positioning. The guests would at, at first, gleefully devour said cake. As time went on, the ceremony of the cake lost its lustre. Towards the end of the cruise the cake was an object of fear and derision in equal parts. Cake escape plans were hatched. This is the World Cruise map. The explanation in the bottom left hand corner into the photo didn’t quite fit.
