Hey guys and gals,
I'm heading over to the US of A in October to compete for Australia as the Big Buck Hunter Champion ( yep that videogame in the pubs has a world championship ) and I Have only flown to the USA on V Australia before and I do like the luxury of only having to pay $30 or $40 for one off lounge access on either end.
I'd love to fly over on the new Qantas A380 (and suprisingly they are actually cheaper than V Australia for the dates I need) and can't justify to myself buying a Qantas Lounge Membership when I usually only fly Qantas once
or twice a year.
I have two questions:
1) >>>deleted<<< *Revised- I understand Qantas passes cannot be sold on here (thanks admin for the friendly update) but if anyone has one taking up some space in a drawer and would like to send it my way, let me know? additionally I understand there is a seperate section for this on the site but if anyone is going to be at the ADL Qantas lounge on the 29th September and LAX Qantas Lounge on 7th October and would like to guest me in that would be awesome.
2) Got a good exchang rate for cash at 89.5c (all inclusive of fees) the other day, from experience is it better to change AUD into USD cash in australia or is it usually better rates in a foreign exchange place in the USA?

Thanks in advance people!

Congratulations!

As for your questions:
1. It *is* against site rules, unfortunately.

2. Get a wizard clear advantage mastercard.

If you are after access to the Qantas Club, take a look in the October thread - you might be in luck and someone may be travelling on the same day.

Thanks for the tip! Just checked it out, seems like a pretty cool card to have tucked away in the wallet, the exchange rates are pretty fair on the card? I have had some where the rate always seems to be a few cents below the actual exchange.

Didn't know about that section of the site until you mentioned it, seems like a neat idea! Thanks

I'll be flying adl-syd on sept 29 at 0700. Not sure about guesting though. Will be connecting to an international flight in syd later that day. Definitely one guest spot free there, only J lounge tho ;) no F where I'm going and stuck at SG for the next 3 months...

I should post my segments in that thread. I often leave things to the last minute but this one is quite locked in. Msg me and I'll see if I can help.

Their rates are pretty much in line with the spot rate, and no commission is charged.

Have a look through Wizard Mastercard Cash Advances while overseas
