Received an email from QF Club offering discounted membership for $725 for 1 year, $994 for 2 years and $1349 for 4 years. Seems even a better deal than getting one with corporate rates which I currently have.

The AFF corporate rates are better for a single year - $690.18 inc joining fee - but slightly worse for 2 years.

My darling 90 year mum received an offer to join. She got her fingers burnt purchasing an Ansett Golden Wing membership just before it went bust so didn't get any value out of it. These days I usually take her as my guest because my daughter is still under 18. She has just turned 17 though and I wonder if anyone knows how strict the lounge dragons are regarding age. I won't have to worry till next year anyway.

I joined QC under a similar 50% off deal 2 years ago, as it was cheaper than our corporate membership at the time, mostly because it discounted the joining fee and the 2 years membership.

I Just renewed mine under our corporate deal which was $630 for another 2 years, then salary sacrificed it (for a bigger saving). Although I will be gold by end of June, it looks at this stage as if Id be unlikely to requalify next FF year, so when my membership comes off pause in Aug 2020 i will have saved as Im sure rates will increase by then.

My renewal offer was only up to 2 years. There was no 4 year option. The renewal fee was $666.40 for 2 years (courtesy CPA membership) so same as last 2 year renewal in Jan 2018.

These are certainly very good rates, especially the 4 year one which I'd like to get. But my membership only expires sometime next year, so I doubt that I can renew it so early.

Qantas Club rates seem to rise about every 2 years, and I would expect them to go up later this year if they follow the previous pattern. Just something to keep in mind.

My membership expires JAnuary 2020 and I was able to renew for another 2 years to take it to January 2022. It looks like your anniversary date remains the same.

Does anyone know how Qantas determines residency for the lower overseas rates? I used to live in Australia but live in Ireland now. However the membership fees are still showing in AUD (even with my Irish address and mobile number updated in my Frequent Flyer profile).

Does the URL start with https://www.qantas.com/au/ or https://www.qantas.com/ie/ ?

If /ie/ but still showing in AUD, I'd try using an incognito window - could be cookies.

I'd give them a call, on their international number and ask to process it as schedule 2. I sometimes have some pushback, as they are extra careful to make sure no one gets the rate for less than they should, but an overseas address is essentially what you'll need.
