Just got this....

Hong Kong from AUD 897
Bangkok from AUD 847
Beijing from AUD 961

*Terms and Conditions: Fares shown are available for sale from 25 September 2009 to 28 September 2009, and valid for departures between 14 November 2009 and 31 January 2010. Travel from Perth to Singapore is restricted to SQ216 & SQ224 only. Travel between Singapore and Bangkok (vice versa) is not permitted on flights SQ970 & SQ979. Travel between Singapore and Jakarta is not permitted on SQ952 & SQ956 on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Jakarta and Singapore on SQ959 & SQ961 on Wednesday and Friday. Flights from Singapore to Perth are not available between 01-10 January 2010 and 10-18 February 2010. Fares shown are for travel in economy class, and includes the price of the air ticket, associated taxes, levies and surcharges including credit card service fee, correct as at 23 September 2009. Fares shown are non-refundable, may not be changed, and are not eligible for KrisFlyer mileage accrual or redemption upgrades. No child or infant discounts apply. Offer subject to availability and confirmation.

Me too!

Although, no mileage accrual...

Happy to fly SQ anyday though.

HOpefully fares to JPN are available!

Yes mileage earning fares in SQ these days usually come at a substantial ($300+) premium to their sale fares. Usually QF match the sale fares and offer FFpts/SC's, although I do realise from PER/ADL/BNE/MEL getting to anywhere in Asia other SIN on QF can be difficult.

No matter how good SQ are in there I still can't get my head past the fact that some of their competitors (I am thinking QF, and EK for BNE/MEL) actually still value your loyalty, even on lower fares. SQ do not.

(End of rant!!)

dajop: Hello! I'm new to this!

When you mention match fares, is that by ringing up their customer service or going to a branch and asking them to match the price?

I would gladly do that - my partner already has tickets on qantas and im just looking for a cheap way to get there too~

Not wanting to speak on dajop's behalf but I believe he/she is referring to the fact that QF will sometimes release a 'counter sale', sometimes without fanfare and only noticeable by looking on their website. It does not involve phoning Qantas as they will only quote you what the website does - plus an extra fee for speaking to a person! So, essentially, keep your eye on the QF website for the next few days and hope for the best.

Has anybody had any luck finding these fares? I've searched a number of dates during the sale period for Perth to Singapore return and the cheapest I can get is $985 and for Perth to Hong Kong about $1385.
