WOW - SQ advertising MEL-PEK ret for $795 in Herald Sun today - that is seriously cheap - FF pts or no FF pts.

The fares are in T or V class....
NFI mate - didn't look any further - I just remember back to the days when I sat in the back of the bus and fares were always $1,200 and up - $795 looks incredibly cheap to me. T or V class aren't outside seats are they?

Sorry - they book into T or V class, depending on destination! Asia is one of the classes, and Europe the other, but I don't remember which is which :p

Noticed on SQ website these fares alos include 30kg luggage. Will earn 10% KF miles - or earn MEL-SIN-PEK return, 1304 miles! A token, but still at that price, who cares?

Yes dajop at that price pts secondary consideration. dajop did you also do your share of 'down the back' on SQ? I think I did probably 50 or 60 MEL-PVG / PEK ret flts before I was introduced to the wonderful world of FF pts accelerated generation.

Nothing in that order, thankfully most of my "down the back" is MEL-SIN or short hauls SIN-xx_ in Asia, and a few more recently between SIN and LHR on day flights which are palatable. Since the demise of BMI :( RIP, most of my awards have also been down the back, as I don't have enough CC spend to generate a lot of KF pts, and BMI had excellent pts+ pay with good access to SQ 388/77Ws. I am very happy to fly up the front on SQ when I can though.
