Any ideas why Singapore would stop publishing/releasing their schedule? SQ flights should be open 355 days out, so through 31 March 2022, but there are no flights from the 27th to the 31st of March to redeem miles or even purchase.

The other day, the SQ call centre booked us LAX-SIN-SYD on the 26th March 2022. Unfortunately, the agent booked the SIN-SYD leg on the 26th, which leaves before our first sector even leaves LAX. They said they WOULD be happy to change the booking, but they had no explanation as to why there are no flights in the system, only to "try checking next week".

We are pretty good about booking well in advance, knowing saver awards book up quickly so we like to avoid waitlist (we also need that second sector to make it a full LAX-SYD which requires less miles). The only blessing here is that the LAX-SIN has NO ticketing deadline.

2 weeks ago I could still see awards Syd-SIN most days.On 31/3 there were absolutely none nor purchased seats until 1?11/21.
However still can see flights out of BNE.

I'm guessing they haven't yet released/published a schedule beyond the end of the IATA northern winter season for 2021/22. This will probably happen in a few weeks, but they're probably still trying to guess what flights are worth selling at this point based on current expectations for 2022.

Except they had flights listed and available for sale with lots of award availability 2-3 weeks ago from now until 1/11 and they just disappeared.

I had an online chat about this with SQ yesterday. She said they hadn't finalised their schedules for July to October yet (I was enquiring about September) and to look again nearer the end of May.

Except when I looked last month they had removed the flights from then until November not just July to end October.

Availability, paid and award, is now showing up to April 6 2022. Saver awards available SIN-SYD all days, 62k miles one way. Advantage awards however are waitlisted!

Really? I can't see any at all in business between 1 May and 31 October. November onwards, yes.

Actually I should have been more precise. I'm looking to escape from this island if the feds will let me so I was looking at SYD - SIN. But looking from SIN - SYD, I see nothing at all from now to 1 November, thereafter waitlisted Saver awards every day until April, then bookable in April (in business anyway).

In a way I guess it sort of makes sense... they probably expect caps to be in place until the end of the year, so no awards available at all. After that, flights *might* get back to normal, so waitlisting allowed. Must be assuming from 1 April that flights are back to normal, and allowing bookings.

Doesn’t explain why awards seats are available to Adl? Maybe little or no demand?

She gave you bad advice. All flights (SIN-SYD) were released today... I can see flights up to 7 April. Bad news is most SIN-SYD are already waitlisted. Lots of availability SIN-ADL though.

I don't think she did. No change from posts 8 & 10 as far as I can see, for business saver awards anyway:

SIN - SYD: nothing at all on any day until 31 October. All flights waitlisted 1 November to 31 March. Normal availability from 1 April.
.
SYD - SIN: availability every day to 30 April. Nothing on any day between 1 May and 31 October. Normal availability from 1 November.

If anyone does see availability released for May to October, I'd appreciate it if you'd post on here to draw my attention to it. Thanks.

My post had nothing to do with 'availability', it had to do with ZERO flights posted, even to book normally, not as reward. Flight schedules are now being released as per normal.

OK. Well we were talking about different things.

Turns out you were right about being given bad advice though, not that I think the SQ agent would have had any advance warning. Flights later this year have now been released for awards from SIN - SYD (only).

SYD - SIN : two flights (07.50 and 15.00) every day. Normal availability every day to 8 April.

SIN - SYD : four flights every day. Nothing at all on any day until 31 October. All flights waitlisted 1 November to 31 March. Normal availability from 1 April.

Annoyingly for me, the flights (SYD - SIN) I want are already on waitlist.

I'm not sure if this is the same issue (seems like it is).

I have been able to book 4 business class flights from PER to LAX in June 2022 as per normal.

I have also been able to book 4 business class flights from LAX to SIN in June 2022.

I cannot however book any flights from SIN to PER in business class (even for 1 passenger) on any dates in 2022. It only has advantage waitlist available?

Is anyone else seeing this as it is weird as I can book PER to SIN no problems but not in reverse. It means when it does become available I will have to spend more point as I will have to book as two separate bookings rather than 1.

It's not weird; it's sensible from SQ's perspective. SQ can put as many people on their flights out of PER as they like, but are subject to the arrivals cap for flights into PER (or any other Australian city) so will probably be able to sell all of them for cold, hard cash. There's every likelihood, sadly, that the waitlist will never clear unless the cap limits are increased or borders open by your return, which is far from certain.

ETA: Incidentally, all SIN - SYD bus flights are now on waitlist too, although at Saver level. Not sure when that changed as, as I said above, they did have normal availability from 1 April back in April.

I have just changed our BNE-SIN J awards from August to Feb 2022.
