Presume they must be an aircraft short during that period and they cant sustain daily to MEL and 3/wk to SYD so this combines the two.

Yes. I did and Air India triangle though, MEL-SYD-DEL, we weren’t allowed off the plane in SYD. Catering was also very limited on the domestic sector, and almost no soft product such as pillows.

I did this triangle in August as an unscheduled variation The plane was late getting to Melbourne, more delays in Sydney (where we were not allowed to leave the plane) and no food until we departed Sydney. The catering between Sydney and Colombo was grim. Arrived very late into Colombo. Plus I picked the worst seat in J (1A) which has some kind of electronics box taking up half the foot cubby.
