Credit Card Offers St.George Amplify Signature: 150,000 bonus Amplify Points (expires 30/4/25)

Did said dentist take Amex? I doubt it. Despite the incredibly high margins in private health, the specialists never seem to accept Amex.
In my experience with looking at the numbers of medical specialists, but also some dental specialists that you refer to, "incredibly high margins" could not be further from the truth. Low and high billing businesses, too.
What percentage range of margins were you thinking?

Do these points also count towards the bonus points

I'll be able to confirm that .... depending on how long it takes for the 100,000 bonus to post. I blew the threshold on mrsamaroo's new card in the first transaction.... points including the current 1/$ bonus have already posted ..... just waiting on the 1st tranche of 100,000.

EDIT - oops the 1/$ offer is actually ANZ Black...

Nice! Thought it must have been targeted. Nothing for me. :(

The timing is pretty good as we're in the market to purchase # 1 son a car.... looks like he favours a Hilux with 1.2% cc fee .... at least the fee is tax deductible :p

The big Q - is 1.5 QFF better than .825 KF ?

edit - the 1/$ offer is actually ANZ Black.... they've also posted correctly LOL

Well, that's an interesting one - I'd usually say KF, but that's a BIG difference (80% more QF points) - if the routes you tend to go on have half-decent availability on QF J (for whatever numbers you travel with) and you have a stash of QF points, I'd be tempted to go with QF (of course, that could well be 'wishful thinking' re avail), as I suspect that the points difference offset fuel surcharge differences etc --- it's an availability vs value decision!

For longhauls you may be able to go QR on Qantas points.
Kris has availability.
We used 115,000 AA Miles and a similar number of Kris Miles to book SIL to London. QR was for first class and Kris was business class. I think I could have used QF points to go QR but the points and fees would have been significantly more than AA.
