Those who have seen my posts elsewhere know my scepticism about travel agents, and my virulent opposition to doing any business with groups like STA/Student Flights/Flight Centre etc etc. But thought the forum would be interested in this email I received today:

Introducing the Diamond List - How to give your customers a free upgrade!
After months of working with the airlines we are launching the Diamond List which we know will take your consultations to the next level.
Exclusive to STA Travel and at no cost to your customers, we are able to give all staff this amazing tool.
Use the password: D1amondL1st and check out the applicable airlines through the portal www.statravel.com.au/diamond-list.htm
The Nitty Gritty
The airlines bill back to STA Travel the cost (at a heavily discounted rate) of your upgrade and make a note in the booking for each one that is done. STA Travel pays the bill and your customer gets the upgrade.
What does the customer need to do?
The customer needs to do the following:

 • Check in 3 hrs before their flight
 • Ask when at check in if they can speak to the supervisor on duty
 • They will need to ask the secret question applicable to the airline they are flying with
IMPORTANT
Limit of 2 per store per day
Applicable airlines are listed on the landing page through the portal –

Start offering this to your VIP’s straight away, we are looking for feedback so let us know how it goes

Its actually an April Fool's prank, but a free $50 voucher....

Does anyone know the T&Cs of the voucher? Don't particularly want to provide an email address to them if it is something I can't use.
