I want to use my KF points to redeem for a *A award. However, I struggle to find detailed T&C about stopovers and routing.
I am trying to see if I can do:
Option 1: SYD-YVR (stopover) - FRA (destination) - YYZ (stopover) - SYD
on the "Southwest Pac 1" -> "Europe" award for 100k for Y or 150k for J.
For SQ awards, I know that I can add 1 stopover for 10k, but I am not sure about *A awards.
Alternatively, I don't mind doing:
Option 2: SYD-YVR - OWN WAY -YYZ- FRA (destination) - SYD. (i.e. open-jaw half way on the outbound leg).
When I talked to the KF CSR, she didn't sound like she knows how to deal with my request and I had to wait 5-10mins per question posed.
Her response was that the only option I have is to do:
Syd-YVR (stopover) - FRA - SYD (via SIN or BKK) . for 110k Y or 150k J.
I asked if this is turning out to be a RTW *A award, she said no. And she said I can't return to Syd via Canada !?!
Very confused. Hope someone can point me to a site with detailed T&C, or have experience with *A awards using KF.
