Hi,

Has StarClass sale been stopped on JQ's domestic legs of international flights - ie SYD-MEL, SYD-OOL and SYD-CNS - it no longer give you the option...I remember you could book SYD-MEL StarClass for around $275.00 which is quite good for building up the status credits...

Thanks!

I have also found that jetstar says when you book "Starclass - Sold Out" even if the aircraft does not have a starclass cabin - eg PERTh to Jakarta.

I would prefer that it tell the truth - ie Not Available or No Cabin but not "sold out" as this is untrue!

That would require the front end to have some smarts (and the JQ site lacks a lot in the area of smarts) as to how to handle a response from the back about what 0 seats available means. In any case, however it phrases it, there are no seats available.

Those should be available. They have been loaded last week. SYDCNSSYD inventory is uploaded now,

If you can find examples of it not being loaded please let me know and i'll pass it on.

Checked:
  • JQ35 SYD-MEL Sat 23rd May - Starclass is not even showing as a "sold out" option.
  • JQ30 MEL-SYD Fri 05 Dec - Starclass is showing at a price of $349
  • JQ35 MEL-SYD Fri 02 Aug - Starclass is showing at a price of $349
  • JQ35 MEL-SYD Fri 17 Jan - Starclass is showing at a price of $349

Look's like it available until end March now but at $50 more than last week and $110 more than this time last year.

With the JQ *class domestic airfare now at $349 it does not represent great value at ~$8.72/SC. Still better than most QF domestic routes for SCs anyway....

Methinks it was only a matter of time :cool:

That rate is pretty much on par with QF sales fares (not non-sale fares), as well as SYD/ABX.

LAN D runs beat "domestic" *C hands down now, but they too are steadily going up (just over the $8/SC mark). Some of the other JQ *C routes (international) look not too bad, e.g. MEL/BKK.

There are still ways to get ~$6/SC, possibly less, on some domestic QF routes during sale periods but some of those routes have a limited number of flights/week.
