Noticed a few bookable JQ codeshares on QF metal 21 and 23rd May for $275 for starclass, is this a new thing as I have not noticed it before!

Can't say I've seen them before. I started a dummy booking and it stated that the flights depart from the international terminal, so I suspect they are connecting flights for other JQ services.

What ports did you look at?

SYD-MEL as per the title, and they are at different times on different days but only one a day.

The StarClass codeshares on QF metal have been around for a while as connecting flights (they even exist on PER-SYD to get to connecting flights). Have not seen them for sale before, other than for those connections though.

Might be handy for a SC run close to home!

I am having no luck finding these on the QF booking engine. Any suggestions as to exact dates, etc.?

I'm sure not too long ago a poster found this but couldnt create the booking.
If you can for that price SC's Lounge acess ..go for it

I see what you mean; perhaps JQ have "book purchased" a certain number of seats from Qantas for their connecting PAX and needs to unload them.

Note that "Jetsaver" (& "JetFlex") at $121 (& $236) for 0 (& 20) SC's (respectively) are available for the same flights.

I found something similar to this a few months back, except it was the other way around (A JQ codeshare on a QF MEL-SYD flight in the QF booking engine rather than the JQ one.)

It was something like $81 for a Jetsaver seat on the QF flight, compared to around $125 for a red e-deal on the same flight.

I wasn't sure about not being able to book it (I no longer needed to go to SYD so never found out) but I managed to get through until the payment page. Only problem arose when I tried to book the 'JQ' sector as a one-way booking, and got redirected to the JQ booking engine, where it wasn't visible. However, this happens any time a JQ-only booking is attempted in the QF booking engine so I don't think it was because of the lack of availability.

I reckon you might as well give it a shot.

Probably a silly question, but if you do book StarClass on a QF operated flight, where do you sit, in J or Y, or would it be Premium Economy when it is available?

Star Class passengers would sit in QF Business Class. I do not believe there are any JQ codeshares on and QF flights that are planning to have Premium Economy seating. I guess that could always change in the future though.

Well that makes the OPs quoted fares very good value for money :D .

Is this still the case?

How ever www.jetstar.com is still selling PER-SYD-HNL in Starclass for that day.

I rang them about this. (Jetstar Cust service is useless:evil:). I think I may have been talking to India. Not sure.

I asked "On the JQ codeshare, Will I be in Business or Economy" Her respone multiple times was, "You will be in StarClass." _sigh_

After a fe minutes of this, she put me on hold then came back and said. We will try and put you in Business, but it is not gauranteed.
