Status and earning on air NZ / UA flight numbers from au to USA

I have to make a shot notice trip to USA next week. Others have booked my fare, it is out of my control.

I have been booked on air NZ flight numbers & metal from au to NZ. I am then booked on united airlines flight numbers & air NZ metal from Auckland to lax. I am then in united airlines flight numbers and metal from lax to final destination in USA.

This is all booked in economy (ouch).

I am currently velocity gold.

My questions are /is about earning status credits, miles, lounge access etc for this trip.

It is a crime here to fly without getting miles / points
Open a United freq flyer account ?
What is the fare bucket ?
What other freq flyers account do you have

Yep - fare bucket is important. You may be able to earn some velocity trans-tasman.

Unlikely transpacific though with a UA codeshare on NZ metal.
