I've just hit silver for the first time & today I received my silver pack.

I had read that silver & above get bag tags but I had no expectation to what they would look like.

Do you use your bag tags? Are they important? What happens to my bag if I don't use it?

yes, the steel cable loops are awesome to loop through the zippers on my gear bags and stop the zip opening up. Before that I used the rubber loops off the EK bag tags - but those stretch, break and are a pain.

The steel cable loops are indeed strong and handy!

I took my 15 month old on her first flight without Mum last week, she fell asleep during decent and I ended up having to think about carrying my backpack and her backpack a bit awkwardly. I had my bag sitting up on the seat whilst waiting to disembark when a VA WP (by his tags anyway) decided he'd be helping me carry my bag into the terminal - unsure if it had anything to do with my SG Tags as i've never flown with them but it was certainly nice!

Worst thing that happened to me got Gold and Plat envy and started counting SC's in my sleep! Congrats and yes put them on your bags.

Dare I ask, do you usually make your 15 month old carry her own backapck

Hahaha, I was considering chucking it on her for a photo! It's just a tiny little Kathmandu backpack.

I would normally put her in the baby carrier, throw my backpack on and them pop hers on my shoulder, but she was crashed on my front - I've learnt to never wake a sleeping baby!
