Hey team,

Been a lurker for quite a while, but finally got Silver this week. Have since got a new job and am running the ADL-CBR run quite a bit which is 60 credits return.

The problem is- I think i'll get gold pretty soon but i'm not sure whether my status credits will still expire on my regular date in February. This is my summary:

Current Status: Silver
Status reassessment will occur: 29 Feb 2012
Qantas Club will expire:
Status credits earned from 01 Mar 2010: 330
Additional Status credits required by 28 Feb 2011 to attain Gold: 320

I just wasn't sure whether because I went up a level they would not expire any new credits from the point of getting silver to 28th of Feb. If it is that's rough on me

Dumb question I know and they will most likely expire but thought i'd check with some of the informed experts around here.

Thanks Guys.

You need 700 SC's to qualify for SG and 600 to retain so you would need 370 more to become Gold. Your SC's do not get wiped once you reach a level (as happens with BA for instance).

Happy flying!

Thanks for replying ozmile.

So if I have 230 since I got silver last month. Will they expire on the 28th of Feb 11? and have to start all over again to get the 700 to qualify the SG?

Thanks mate

Although looking at the numbers quoted, it suggests 650 SC to attain Gold, which is a bit unexpected!

The 650 versus 700 SCs question notwithstanding, yes, if you don't make gold by end Feb, you will have to earn 700 on the following 12 months to make gold.
