Hi,

Just after some clarification re: awarding of status credits on partner airline's codeshare flights.

I've recently completed a trip to Europe on Etihad ticketed booking. My Etihad operated flights credited to my account fairly quickly, however, the Air Berlin operated flights never registered... And when I called Velocity to claim my missing points and SC, the agent said that codeshares are not eligible for points or SC... How true is that given Air Berlin is also a Velocity partner?

Was it a EY flight number? no earn at all

Velocity Points and Status Credits cannot be earned on:

 • Codeshare flights (Any flight with an EY flight number that is operated by an airline other than Etihad or Virgin Australia).

If it was a AB flight number no status credits. You do earn points only if in a eligable class, however if a cheap fare normally a non earn class

Earn Points with airberlin when you travel in an eligible fare class on flights with an AB flight number operated by airberlin or Virgin Australia.
You can also still earnStatus Creditson airberlin flights marketed by Virgin Australia (with a VA flight number) when travelling on eligible Virgin Australia fare types.
